I finally figured out how to enter a post on this thing. That's the trouble with being just about 72 years old in a changing world. But I like it.
I'm currently involved in a play reading-workshop at Brown. A delightful new piece by Katie Pearl, a smart, talented writer who usually creates performance pieces and now has tackled the traditional play format. It's called "Lost Boys" and, put simply, three old guys who share a house are visited by Peter Pan. Who looks a lot like Taylor Swift. We had a a public reading last night, and there's another one at 3:P.M. tomorrow in the McCormick Family Theatre, 70 Brown Street. It's free -- drop by if you can.
TRIST (The Rhode Island Shakespeare Theater) is alive and well and will present "A Midsummer Night's Dream" outdoors at the Roger Williams National Memorial on North Main Street in Providence. End of May, first three weeks in July. Free! AND -- wait for it -- in October -- also outdoors -- MACBETH! Yup. Outdoors. Bundle up!
